Requesting Backup

 

As the coordinator in Arizona for the Lucent Retirees Organization, I was delighted to see your coverage of the health-care crisis in the country [Broken Promises - May].  No one is being more adversely affected than retirees who were promised subsidized medical insurance coverage by their former employers.  However, I was disheartened that your list of solutions did not include finding a way to mandate these corporations into keeping their promises.  Lobbying our elected representatives for legislation is essential.
